IVEX has raised $5.8M in a Series A round backed by The Faktory and Dedicated.lu, a fresh infusion of capital for the Leuven-based startup as it pushes into the crowded field of automated vehicle safety.
The company, spun out of the University of Leuven, builds software tools designed to validate and guarantee the safety performance of self-driving systems. With a team drawn from 10 countries and an existing partnership with Siemens, IVEX is positioning itself as a technical bridge between automakers and the regulators who need proof that autonomous tech won't fail in the real world. The new funding arrives as the industry wrestles with how to standardize safety claims-a problem IVEX is betting it can help solve.
