Generation Hong Kong, the local arm of the global youth employment nonprofit founded by McKinsey & Company, has raised $51K in seed funding from UBS.
The organization runs a 4- to 12-week boot camp-style program that drills technical, behavioral, and mindset skills through repeated practice of what it calls "breakdown moments," aiming to get graduates job-ready from day one. In Hong Kong, it works with employers to build curriculum and targets a two-sided talent mismatch, supporting youth and SEN youth aged 18 to 29 as well as mid-career changers. Part of its stated mission is to push back on the notion that grades and education level should be the main screening criteria for entry-level hiring.
