Flow Engineering, the specialist firm behind custom solutions for dampening vibrations in slender and tall structures, has closed a $50.0M Series B funding round. The capital infusion will support its work in mitigating the effects of wind, waves, and earthquakes on everything from skyscrapers to industrial stacks.
The round saw participation from a notable roster of investors, including Valor Equity Partners, Atreides Management, and Sequoia Capital, alongside individual backers Antonio Gracias and Gavin Baker, and Sequoia's Roelof Botha. Flow Engineering's offerings span Tuned Mass Dampers, Tuned Liquid Dampers, and Active Mass Dampers, in addition to structural modifications and preliminary design services for large industrial metal structures.
