CivilGrid has raised $26.0M in a Series A round, a bet that construction planning can be sped up by better data plumbing. The funding was led by Spark Capital, with participation from Afore, A*, Ford Street Ventures, SNR, and Energy Impact Partners.
The company runs a construction intelligence platform that layers utility, environmental, and geotechnical site data into one place, pulling current GIS datasets directly from local utilities and agencies. For developers and engineers, that means faster due diligence and fewer surprises on project costs and risks-an area where fragmented, outdated information has long been a drag.
