EIT Pharma, Inc. has pulled in $35.0M in a Series A round backed by Propel Bio Partners, Good Ventures, and Arrowtown. The Kirkland, Washington-based biotech is carving out a niche by picking up underdeveloped drug candidates for serious viral diseases, betting that overlooked assets can still yield meaningful therapies.
The company’s pipeline includes lonafarnib for chronic hepatitis D and rights to lambda, an investigational treatment for severe acute viral respiratory tract infections. Founded by clinical and biotech veterans, EIT Pharma is leaning on that experience to advance programs where the science is solid but the commercial push has lagged. The fresh capital gives it room to keep those efforts moving.
