A startup building a "parallel internet" designed from the ground up for privacy, doxx.net, has secured $38.0M in Series A funding. The U.S.-headquartered company aims to offer users a digital experience shielded from tracking, malware, and censorship, with end-to-end encrypted communications and anonymity features like onion routing and fingerprint masking.
Doxx.net's infrastructure promises a network where accounts are created with proof-of-work, requiring no usernames, passwords, or personal data. The round drew investment from Andreessen Horowitz, ANIMO Ventures, and focal.vc, backing a vision for an internet that doesn't log user activity.
