Commercial buildings could soon do more than just consume power, thanks to Novele, which has raised $17.0M in Series A funding. The startup aims to transform commercial real estate into a dynamic, intelligent layer of the energy grid, enabling buildings to optimize, store, and respond to power demands in real time.
The round drew investment from Boisei Labs, Locke Health, Arup Ventures, and Barton Malow. Novele's core offering is the EnergyBoard, a modular, ultra-distributed energy storage system embedded with advanced sensing and machine learning, designed for quick installation and measurable improvements in efficiency and uptime.
