CloudNC has raised $20.0M in a Series B round, with backing from Nimble Ventures, Calculus Venture Capital, Entrepreneur First, LM Ventures, and Lockheed Martin.
The London-based company applies AI to CNC machining, a core but often tedious part of manufacturing. Its product, CAM Assist, automates the repetitive steps between a digital design and a machine-ready program, letting machinists generate toolpaths in minutes rather than hours. That pitch has already won over hundreds of shops globally, and the fresh capital arrives as manufacturers grapple with persistent skills shortages and pressure to squeeze more output from existing equipment. CloudNC, founded in 2015, pairs software expertise with its own factory in Chelmsford, giving it a hands-on view of the production floor it’s trying to speed up.
