Building on years of pioneering R&D at the Swiss Center for Electronics and Microtechnology (CSEM), CCRAFT, an open-access foundry for photonic integrated circuits, has raised $7.8M in seed capital. The company specializes in advanced thin-film lithium niobate (TFLN) technology, offering monolithic PICs and chiplets to address critical challenges in optical communications, high-performance computing, and AI.
With the new funding, CCRAFT plans to scale up manufacturing in its cleanroom facility to meet growing demand for high-volume, high-performance photonic solutions across diverse industries.
