A substantial $6.0M pre-seed round has landed for calliora, a startup aiming to revolutionize hospital economics with its AI operating layer. The funding, led by Bertelsmann Healthcare Investments (BHI) and redalpine, also saw participation from individual investors Ulrich Wandschneider, Peter Sarlin, and Frank Hutter.
calliora is building an AI operating layer designed to carry the full context of every patient case from admission to reimbursement. This technology helps hospitals capture the full value of the care they deliver, enabling them to reinvest in the people, technology, and capacity patients depend on.
