AbTx, a preclinical biotech working on next-generation oncology treatments, has raised $1.9M in seed funding.
The company is developing a monoclonal antibody platform built on enzymatic conjugation, aimed at overcoming the major drawbacks of antibody-drug conjugates in targeting solid tumors. Its approach generates antibody Fragment Drug Conjugates, or FDCs, which AbTx says could open new ground in treating cancers that are currently incurable. The round's investors were not disclosed.
