Shanghai Xisiid Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd. has raised $3.7M in seed funding to build what it calls brain-inspired artificial general intelligence.
The company, founded by the chief scientist of China's National Brain Project and a National Talent Program recipient, is developing locally deployable brain-like models and memory systems meant to address some of the most persistent shortcomings of today's large language models - excessive token consumption, limited memory span, hallucinations, and weak autonomous skill acquisition. Its stated goal is to give every user a personalized digital assistant, with the longer-term ambition of linking hundreds of millions of such "intelligent digital twins" into a system-level AGI ecosystem.
