WheelMove has raised $1.8M in seed funding to make off-road mobility possible for manual wheelchair users. The company is building a transportable system that installs on any manual wheelchair, designed to be easy to use and affordable.
Getting off the beaten track in a manual wheelchair often means muscle fatigue, injuries, and expensive or cumbersome workarounds. WheelMove aims to change that by giving people with reduced mobility access to the same activities as everyone else. The company is currently being formed, following an incubation phase at Poclain.
