Even the foundational architects of the internet need capital to keep building. The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), the international public-interest non-profit responsible for developing the very Web standards that underpin our digital lives, has secured $100K in pre-seed funding.
Founded by Web inventor Tim Berners-Lee and currently led by President & CEO Seth Dobbs, W3C's enduring mission is to make the web work - for everyone. The organization brings together Member organizations, a dedicated full-time staff, and the public to collaborate on the essential standards that shape the global digital landscape.
