ViferaXS has raised $13.7M in Series A funding to push its T cell activator platform further into immunotherapy. The round was backed by the Federal Agency for Breakthrough Innovations (SPRIND) and Huma.
The company's platform targets immunopeptidome-derived tumour antigens, using an adjuvant and formulation called XS15 to go after naturally presented tumour antigens directly. The aim is to kill cancerous cells while pulling in other immune components for a broader response. ViferaXS says it's also open to partnerships and further funding discussions.
