With its sights set on revolutionizing cancer treatment, VAXICAN, a pre-clinical stage biotechnology company leveraging proprietary enveloped virus-like particles (eVLP) for next-generation immunotherapeutics, has closed a $10.5M Seed funding round.
The firm's eVLP platform develops therapeutic cancer vaccines designed to mimic viral infection, thereby strengthening patient anticancer defenses. This approach, supported by in-house machine learning and artificial intelligence, attracted investment from DeepTech Capital Consortium, iif.vc, Rubicon Partners, Univentum Labs, and Voolt S.A. VAXICAN's initial lead candidates are addressing HER2 and GD2 cancers.
