Flexible hybrid electronics have long promised bendable, stretchable circuits, but manufacturing them at scale has stayed stubbornly niche. TracXon, a spin-off from the Dutch research institute Holst Centre, just picked up $1.0M in seed funding to push that technology toward mainstream production.
The round comes from 819 Capital Partners, backing TracXon’s push to turn flexible hybrid electronics into a cradle-to-cradle manufacturing process-meaning materials are designed to be reused or recycled rather than discarded. The company says its focus is on sustainable production techniques, though it hasn’t detailed exactly where the fresh capital will go. For a sector still finding its footing beyond prototypes, this check signals early investor confidence in making the leap from lab to factory floor.
