Ternwheel has raised $2.0M in seed funding, with Bob Gardner investing.
The company builds an operating system for live entertainment, tying together the work of running a tour with the money behind each show. Schedules, routing, travel, team communication, guest lists, budgets, and settlements sit in one platform, and embedded banking connects accounts and team cards to the same workflow so card spending posts directly to a tour's financials. Ternwheel is backed by a16z, with advisors including Tunji Balogun, chairman and CEO of Def Jam Recordings; Rakaa Iriscience of Dilated Peoples; and Sway Calloway of SiriusXM's Sway in the Morning. Its roots are in music and touring, with customers already extending into sports. Ashanti Abdullah founded the company after more than 20 years in artist management, touring, and festivals.
