Most growing businesses don’t have a data problem-they have a coherence problem. Tennsa, a Cape Town-based startup building an AI layer that reads across a company’s existing tools, has raised $61K in pre-seed funding from Oakvale Invest.
The round backs Tennsa OS, an always-on intelligence layer that connects accounting, inventory, CRM, email, and banking systems without centralizing them into a data warehouse. Instead of building dashboards nobody reads, it delivers a daily briefing on what changed overnight, what’s at risk, and what to act on first-with AI that answers from real numbers and refuses to fabricate when data is missing. The startup integrates at source, meaning value lands within days, not months, and it’s built with first-class support for the South African stack, including IQ Retail, Sage, Xero, PayFast, and Yoco, plus native POPIA compliance.
