Hospitals grappling with resource-intensive surgical training and fragmented patient data now have a new tool, as SurgExplore, an AI-powered surgical intelligence platform, announced it has raised $173K in Seed funding.
Spun out of the University of Bern's AIMI Lab and ARTORG Center, SurgExplore leverages over seven years of research to transform recorded surgery video and clinical data into surgeon-specific training, pre-operative planning, and automated post-operative reporting. The company's technology integrates with existing surgical equipment, promising to lower hospital costs and improve patient outcomes, with pilot deployments slated for 2026.
