Southern Launch, a provider of bespoke space launch and return services in the Southern Hemisphere, has secured $25.0M in Series A funding. The capital infusion comes from investors Brindabella & Company and the National Reconstruction Fund Corporation, signaling growing confidence in Australia's burgeoning space sector.
The company operates two distinct spaceports in South Australia: the Whalers Way Orbital Launch Complex, which offers high-cadence launches to polar and sun-synchronous orbits, and the Koonibba Test Range, the Southern Hemisphere's largest commercial rocket testing facility for suborbital missions. Southern Launch aims to simplify the complex process of space access, handling everything from regulatory approval to on-range setup for its customers.
