Life sciences companies lose countless hours to data that can’t be found, organized, or trusted across teams and CROs. sci2sci has raised $1.4M in pre-seed funding to push back against that chaos, with backing from Heliad, IBB Ventures, Robin Capital, and a group of superangels.
The Berlin-based startup sells what it calls Data Governance as a Service, via a platform named VectorCat that plugs into existing infrastructure and uses AI agents to automatically protect, organize, and enrich data-no migration required. The company says its underlying SAFE Framework, built on zero-trust architecture and auditable FAIR data principles, has already processed hundreds of millions of files and automated over 10,000 hours of manual work for life sciences firms worldwide. The fresh capital arrives as regulatory scrutiny and AI adoption make governed data less of a nice-to-have and more of a prerequisite.
