RentoMojo has secured $40.0M in a fresh funding round, with backing from a roster of institutional investors including Kotak Mahindra Trustee, Edelweiss, Invesco, HDFC, Motilal Oswal, Bajaj Finserv, JM Financial, and ICICI Prudential.
The Bangalore-based startup, founded by IIT-Madras alumni, offers asset leasing for home essentials-furniture, appliances, and more-at affordable monthly rentals, positioning itself as an alternative to outright ownership for India’s frequently relocating urban workforce. The capital injection arrives as the company looks to scale its model of "smart ownership," though specifics on how the funds will be deployed were not disclosed.
