The quest for an off-the-shelf solution to knee cartilage repair, a market estimated at $3 billion annually in the U.S., just got a boost. Regenerative medicine company Regentis Biomaterials has secured $15.0M in Series d funding to advance its Gelrin™ platform technology.
Regentis' lead product, GelrinC®, is a cell-free hydrogel designed to regenerate durable cartilage in the knee. With CE Mark approval in Europe and over 50% enrollment completed in its pivotal U.S. Phase III study for FDA approval, the company is nearing several key milestones.
