Refined Laser Systems | Refined Diagnostics is tackling the critical delay in cancer diagnostics, where tissue samples often take hours or days for analysis. The Münster, Germany-based medical technology company, which develops imaging technology for real-time cancer diagnostics, recently closed a $3.2M crowdfunding round. Its technology enables molecular tissue analysis within minutes at the point of care, empowering surgeons and pathologists to identify cancer cells during surgery and potentially reducing repeat procedures.
This latest capital infusion adds to over €10 million in private and public funding the company has previously secured. With its first clinical study complete and IVD-A approval on the horizon, Refined Diagnostics aims to bring its high-precision laser microscopy, also used in life-science research, to clinical settings.
