Redefine Surgery has raised $10.0M in pre-seed funding to build AI-powered immersive 3D training for surgeons. The company records orthopedic surgery video for hospitals, surgeons, and device companies, then uses that footage to train AI models that learn from top surgeons and turn their techniques into shareable, hands-on training experiences.
The pitch: instead of the traditional fellowship model, where expertise spreads slowly from one surgeon to a few trainees, Redefine wants any surgeon to be able to teach and train thousands. For medical device companies, it's positioning itself as an operating system for surgical education. The investors weren't disclosed.
