Piney has raised $1.9M in a funding round backed by Uni.Fund and 33East, a bet on the messy, labor-intensive side of the short-term rental boom.
The company isn’t selling software to property managers-it runs the operations itself. Piney handles cleaning, laundry, linen storage, and amenity sourcing for over 1,500 properties across Europe, completing thousands of cleanings monthly. Its pitch is that outsourcing this work cuts a manager’s operational load by 80%, a figure that speaks to how fragmented and time-consuming the back-end of hosting has become. With fresh capital, the startup is positioned to push further into a market where scale depends on reliable, repeatable service rather than just a slick dashboard.
