Phytolon, a company developing natural food colors through a novel fermentation process, has closed a $23.6M Series B funding round. The capital infusion will support its mission to provide cost-efficient, high-quality natural colorants that meet growing consumer demand for healthy food.
The Series B round saw participation from investors including NextGen Nutrition, Colorcon Ventures, and Yossi Ackerman. Phytolon leverages a sustainable fermentation-based technology to produce betalain natural colors in baker's yeast, offering an alternative to synthetic dyes.
