Oscorp Energy, a startup tackling the complex problem of battery recycling, has secured $845K in pre-seed funding. The company builds intelligent machines that autonomously sort used batteries, a critical step to ensure they can be safely recycled.
This technology aims to give recyclers and material recovery facilities the confidence to accept batteries without fear of fires, contamination, or costly disruptions. Ultimately, Oscorp Energy seeks to reduce hazardous waste in landfills, recover more critical metals, and lower overall recycling costs.
