Odyssey has raised $74.0M in a Series B round, a bet on the company’s growing role as the tech backbone for state-run school choice programs.
The startup partners with state agencies to administer education savings accounts (ESAs), which let families use public funds for private school tuition, tutoring, software, and other approved expenses. Odyssey says its platform currently powers ESA programs enrolling more than 80,000 students, and it projects that number will jump to 235,000 students in the 2026–2027 school year, representing over $2 billion in state funding. The company counts prominent backers among its investors, including Katherine Boyle at a16z and Tusk Venture Partners.
