Novasentis, Inc., the developer of electro-mechanical polymer (EMP) haptic technology, has closed a Series B funding round, securing $22.0M. The company specializes in solutions that allow consumer products to come alive with haptic sensations, enabling a deeper physical and emotional connection to devices.
Acquired by KEMET Electronics Corporation in 2019, Novasentis's ultra-thin, light, and flexible film actuators provide a natural sense of touch for applications ranging from smart buttons and gaming controllers to AR/VR headsets. These innovations create localized, independent sensations anywhere on a device's surface.
