The quest for the next material to succeed SiC and GaN in power electronics and RF applications just received a significant boost. NextGO Epi, a spin-off project supported by the Leibniz Institute for Crystal Growth (IKZ), has closed a $1.6M seed funding round.
NextGO Epi is focused on delivering high-quality, large-size epiwafers, positioning its technology as a potential successor in critical high-performance applications. The company aims to establish its advanced material as the go-to choice for future power electronics and RF systems.
