NeoCem, a company tackling the high carbon footprint of traditional cement, has closed a $10.0M Series A funding round. Founded in 2017, the startup is developing a circular solution that transforms clay waste from construction sites into low-carbon cement ingredients, significantly reducing clinker content.
This innovative process leads to a 90% reduction in COâ‚‚ compared to the substituted material, aligning with NeoCem's mission to make low-carbon construction the new norm. The capital will support the company's large-scale deployment, including plans for a factory near Paris set to begin production in 2025.
