India’s dairy farmers-100 million strong-have long been stuck with middlemen and opaque pricing. Mooofarm, a startup building connected commerce for the sector, just raised $578K in a pre-seed round to chip away at that status quo.
The round was backed by Navus Ventures and Rockstart, both of which are betting on the company’s pitch: that digitizing the supply chain can lift farmers out of poverty while keeping milk flowing to over a billion people. The capital gives Mooofarm early runway to prove its model works beyond a pilot.
