Scottish National Investment Bank has put $45.7M into Mironid® Limited’s Series B, backing a drug discovery outfit that’s betting on a less-trodden path in rare disease treatment.
The Glasgow-based company develops proprietary molecules that tweak the activity of key cell-signalling proteins, a mechanism it says can open up multiple therapeutic areas. Its lead programme targets a rare genetic kidney disease, though the round’s size suggests the bank sees broader potential in the platform itself.
