The burgeoning market for autonomous ocean technology just got a fresh infusion of capital, as Maritime Robotics AS, a global leader in advanced maritime drones, announced it has raised $32.5M. The investment comes from Mustard Seed + Partners, backing the company's pioneering work in ocean space robotics.
Since its inception in 2005, Maritime Robotics has experienced significant growth, especially in the last two years, driven by its core Autonomous Navigation System (ANS). This technology enables safe and efficient remote-controlled and autonomous operations at sea, proving crucial for precise seabed mapping, securing marine infrastructure, and operations in challenging waters, with increasing demand from defense and security, hydrography, and energy sectors.
