Turning industrial waste into agricultural gain, Mafix has closed a $5.4M pre-seed funding round to advance its carbon-negative fertilizer technology. The startup leverages spare cement kiln capacity to produce fertilizers designed not only to enhance crop yields but also to restore soil health, offering a dual benefit for both industry and environment.
The early-stage investment drew support from a notable roster of backers, including Azolla Ventures, Counteract VC, Astera Institute, Plug and Play Ventures, and Impact Science Ventures.
