The electric recreational vehicle market just got a fresh jolt of capital, with Lightship announcing a $34.0M Series B round. The early-stage hardware startup, founded in 2020 by Tesla alumni, is on a mission to bring the $26B RV industry into the electric age.
Operating from its San Francisco and Broomfield, Colorado bases, Lightship is designing and producing an aerodynamic, battery-powered trailer. This innovative approach aims to liberate travelers from the noise, emissions, and range anxiety typically associated with traditional gas RVing.
