KORD has raised $8.6M in a Series A round backed by Guinness Ventures, Beringea, and SFC Capital. The aerospace and defense contractor, a wholly owned subsidiary of KBR, is bringing outside investors on board for the first time as it looks to scale its government-facing work.
The company, which traces its roots to 2008, has built a reputation as one of the faster-growing government contractors in the U.S., with a focus on quality and customer service. The fresh capital arrives as KORD leans into its integrated aerospace and defense positioning, though specifics on how the funds will be deployed were not disclosed.
