Kompanion has raised $894K in seed funding to build out its planning software for Swedish home-care providers. Investors in the round include JME Ventures, Acurio Ventures, BStartup and Banco Sabadell.
The tool is aimed at the scheduling puzzle at the heart of hemtjänst: matching each client's needs for timing, staff skills and a regular contact person against realistic travel times, while giving managers a view of staffing levels, continuity and the economics of the operation. Kompanion runs in the browser, with a mobile app called Kompis for staff to check their shifts, and the company says its customers include both municipalities and private providers.
