Fresh vegetable farms, long reliant on manual scouting and best guesses, are getting a data-driven upgrade from Innoptech, which has just raised $54K. The company’s platform, built around its VegForecast drone system, provides growers with rapid plant counts, weed maps, and growth data, aiming to cut down on inaccurate yield estimates and improve farm decisions.
Innoptech is already deployed across thousands of acres in Canada, with plans to enter the California market in 2026. Its technology builds season-over-season data specific to each farm, moving the industry away from traditional, less precise methods.
