iCUREX, a medical startup spun out of Kagoshima University, has raised $884K in Series A funding. The round drew backing from NCB Venture Capital, Green Core, INDEP and the Japan Finance Corporation.
Founded in 2023, iCUREX develops and sells medical devices and consumer products built on its chitosan hydrogel technology, including wound dressings and a nasal irrigator. The company says it emphasizes scientific evidence in its R&D as it works on solving social issues through original technology.
