The ocean’s depths are notoriously hard to monitor, but HydroSight is betting that artificial intelligence can make sense of the murk. The subsea intelligence startup has raised $5.0M in a seed round backed by StageOne Ventures, Vertex Ventures, and the National Center of Blue Economy.
HydroSight’s platform converts raw marine and subsea data into actionable intelligence for offshore energy operators, marine infrastructure managers, and asset monitoring teams. The funding arrives as industries from oil and gas to renewables lean harder on underwater data to cut costs and avoid failures-though the company has yet to detail exactly how it will deploy the fresh capital.
