A new approach to children's literacy just got a financial boost. Huey Books, a platform that aims to get kids "addicted to reading," has closed a $100K seed round.
The company, previously known as Wriveted, uses a web-based conversational interface to help children discover books tailored to their interests. By asking kids to select media content they prefer, Huey quickly determines their tastes and matches them with books they'll genuinely enjoy, bypassing traditional categories or prior reading experience.
