Video game developers often find themselves at a negotiating disadvantage when courting publishers or investors, a power imbalance GYLD is trying to correct. The company, which has helped studios like Sandfall Interactive and Blue Manchu secure over $60 million in funding, has now raised $1.0M in a Seed round to scale its own operations.
The round is backed by Kameha Ventures, mod.io, indie.bi, and ICO Partners. GYLD positions itself as a data-driven advocate for developers, offering expert guidance and industry connections to help them land better deals-a service that appears to be gaining traction with both indie teams and the investors who back them.
