Genesis Space Flight Laboratories has raised $352,000 in new investment capital. The funding round saw participation from investors including Fil Rouge Capital and the European Union. The company specializes in building reentry capsules designed to make microgravity research and in-space manufacturing accessible at scale. This capital infusion marks a significant step for the Croatian-based firm as it prepares for its upcoming operational phases.
The company's core offering revolves around its reentry capsules, which are crucial for retrieving samples from space. Following its debut mission with MAYASAT-1 on SpaceX Transporter-14 in June 2025, Genesis Space Flight Laboratories is developing a series of GEN reentry capsules. These are intended to serve both industrial and research customers, facilitating frequent access to space with sample retrieval capabilities multiple times a year.
Beyond its primary reentry capsule development, Genesis Space Flight Laboratories is also expanding its product portfolio. This includes onboard computers, deployables, and scientific payload modules. These additional offerings aim to lower entry barriers for new-space startups, fostering broader participation in the burgeoning space economy. The company's mission is centered on providing consistent and accessible space services.
The newly secured funds will be strategically deployed to support these growth initiatives. Genesis Space Flight Laboratories plans to accelerate the development and production of its GEN reentry capsules and further enhance its complementary product lines. This investment is expected to bolster the company's operational capabilities and expand its market reach as it moves towards its goal of providing frequent and reliable space access.
