The race to build faster, more responsive AI just got a significant capital injection. General Compute, a company developing an ASIC-first AI neocloud, has raised $400.0M in Series b funding to accelerate its mission of creating the world's fastest AI cloud.
General Compute aims to solve the critical bottleneck of token generation speed, a common constraint for AI agents, coding tools, and voice assistants. Its platform is purpose-built for high-speed inference, promising 5-7x faster token generation than existing GPU-based clouds, specifically targeting the latency-sensitive workloads that are seeing the fastest growth.
