Gaussion has raised $27.4M to build what it calls energy intelligence - an intelligent control layer that sits inside battery packs. The UK deep tech company spun out of UCL in 2022 and makes magnetic chips that retrofit into existing battery systems without changing cells, chemistry, or supply chains.
The pitch is that those chips deliver longer cycle life, better cold-weather performance, and real-time data from inside the pack. Gaussion isn't saying who wrote the check or what the money will fund.
