Galvmac Ltd has raised $397K from the North East Elevate Fund, giving the road-repair specialist fresh capital as it pushes a more sustainable approach to fixing potholes and patching asphalt.
The company turns end-of-life waste tyres into an industrial-strength adhesive used across potholes, cracks, joints, ironwork and narrow trenches. It sells to local authorities, airfields, ports, car parks, service stations, industrial and distribution centres, plus water and telecom providers - a customer list that reflects how widely road maintenance is spread. Galvmac says its management team brings more than 40 years of experience in road maintenance and traffic management.
