Autonomy in AI is expensive to build, and Freehand just secured a serious war chest to prove its model works. The company has raised $75.0M in a Series B round backed by Battery Ventures, NewRoad Capital Partners, PSP Growth, and Nexus Venture Partners.
Freehand is building what it calls the infrastructure that gives AI "judgment to act" rather than just the data to recommend-essentially, the full decision context that lets autonomous AI teams operate without hesitation. The pitch is simple: when an AI has complete context, it earns the freedom to act on its own. The funding suggests investors are buying that thesis, though the company has yet to detail exactly how the capital will be deployed.
